Introduction to the YSCA Specialist Course
This comprehensive, fully online course is divided into four modules and is designed to develop you into a truly elite Youth Strength and Conditioning practitioner. Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to coach and develop young people to a significantly higher level of physical competence, building on the knowledge and skills gained in the Youth Strength and Conditioning Assistant and Coach Course.

Here’s exactly what is covered in the Youth Strength and Conditioning Specialist Course:
Module 1
The YSCA Specialist – Introduction – Covering various athletic development models that guide training and competition for athletes highlighting the importance of age-appropriate training, skill development, and the benefits of multi-sport participation.
Module 2
Pathway Levels 3-5 – Diving further into the athletic development pathways, specifically focusing on levels three to five of our YSCA modules. We talk through the physiological outcomes we aim for at each level, such as force expression and cardiovascular development.
Module 3
Profiling, Programming and Monitoring – Delve into the profiling chapter from the coaching module, emphasising effective data use, referencing movement, strength, and performance standards alongside provided templates, while also highlighting the use of programming tools and user-friendly apps to enhance delivery efficiency, and exploring advanced monitoring techniques to refine coaching strategies.
Module 4 & Case Study
Youth Specialist knowledge check assessment followed by case study submission and certification.
