The YSCA Assistant

Improve the health and wellbeing of young people TODAY by becoming a Youth Strength and Conditioning Assistant Coach

The Youth Strength and Conditioning Assistant Coach course is a fully online entry level course aimed at parents and people who work with young people on a voluntary basis.

This course teaches you the do’s and don’ts of youth fitness.

At the end of the course you will have a very good understanding of the basics of youth fitness and be confident designing simple warm-ups for your populations that will produce more engaging, productive sessions.

You will also be proficient in the YSCA terminology and ready to advance through the YSCA pathway and become a Youth Strength and Conditioning Coach, able to deliver sessions on your own and gain insurance for the work that you do meaning you can coach with confidence.

Why should I do this course?

If you're looking for a thorough overview of how to work with young people from a physical perspective this course will certainly give you that.

Delivered fully online, this is a flexible, applicable and engaging short course that will leave you more confident and able to coach and deliver simple but effective movement programmes.

You will also have a far greater understanding of what is good practise which will stand you in good stead when overlooking your child's training programme and working with practitioners and coaches in the future.

Working with young people really is the most rewarding process for any coach or trainer!

I’ve been fortunate enough to spend many years working with young athletes and general population kids and without question it has been some of the best work of my career to date. The questions they ask, the energy they bring, and the FUN that you have as a coach is something truly special.

That’s why I wanted to create this Youth Strength and Conditioning Qualification to enable you to work with this fantastic population as well.

At the end of this qualification you’ll know exactly what to do and what NOT to do! You’ll learn how to put progressive and safe programmes together and how to create fun, engaging, productive sessions to really help young people to develop their athleticism, but also improve their general health and well being, and you'll have LOT'S of fun learning with us along the way too!
